CARMEL INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
Carmel International Film Festival attracts a diverse group of attendees and filmmakers, from emerging artists to Oscar Award-winning. If you are an art lover of any sort, you will find something at this festival for you. And chances are, you will come across someone you know. Carmel International Film Festival invited Brian Mcguffey to be a featured artist joining the ranks alongside George Rodriguez (of 'Blue Dog' notoriety) and famed French street artist Thierry Guetta (Mr. Brianwash).

THE HEART 'BEAUTIFUL BROKEN PROJECT'
In 2016 Brian was asked to work with Ann and Nancy Wilson to create a series of paintings to coincide with the release of Hearts latest album "Beautiful Broken" which is scheduled for release on July 8th. On June 27th Heart began a series of daily preview videos premiering new songs with each video highlighting a different painting by Brian.

BAJA 100 ART WALK
The Baja 100 Todos Santos Art Walk is a monthly event organized by a group of Todos Santos artists. Each month we focus on raising money for a different local charity and open the doors to galleries, and shops for special hours. Many of the colorful personalities of the local art scene are present.

SPECIAL LIVE PAINTING EVENT with BRIAN MCGUFFEY
Special live painting event is a Back-to-School fundraiser hosted by The Palapa Society of Todos Santos, Brian Mcguffey was thrilled to partake in this Live art auction for a piece he painted for the special event titled 'I Miss the Fiesta.' Brian Mcguffey participated in this event with a number of other artist in Todos Santos and raised $100,000 usd for the community of Todos Santos.

BAJA UNDER THE STARS
|
The Palapa Society of Todos Santos, Mexico, a non-profit, had it's first stateside event, “Baja Under the Stars.” This was a memorable evening with Grammy Award-winning La Santa Cecilia. Located in the beautiful Denver Botanic Gardens, Brian Mcguffey and other artist helped raise money for the to support the future leaders of Todos Santos.
Their mission is to improve the quality of life and offer a brighter future for local children and their families through scholarship and educational programs. This " Baja Under the Stars "charity event celebrated the opening of the new Palapa Learning Center, a 4-building campus to include a community library, English language acquisition, middle school, and high school. The buildings are nearing completion and will open this fall. The Palapa Society of Todos Santos is currently seeking funding for technology, scholarships, resources, and equipment which will ultimately serve over 120 students seeking a university-track education, not currently available to young scholars in Todos Santos, Mexico. TODOS SANTOS SENAL DE LA PUEBLO
Brian McGuffey contributed his work to the Todos Santos; New letter sign which sits in downtown Todos Santos right next to the local church, Igelesia Nuestra Senora del Pilar. The summer of 2018 artists, including Brian McGuffey, was able to express their own individual style to each letter of the newly constructed sign. The letters were painted by local artists; in letter order: Gabo, Erick Ochoa, Benito Ortega, Leif Holland, Gloria Ruenitz, Joel Cadena, Arturo Mendoza Elfeo, Maribel Nuñez, Michael Cope, Brian McGuffey, and Jill Logan. The art on the sign conveys the culture and artistic nature of this magical pueblo and will forever be apart of Todos Santos.
